Regenerative medicine is an interdisciplinary research field that seeks to develop the science and the means to help repair or replace damaged or diseased human tissue to restore normal function. In 2018, Kyoto hosted the World Congress of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society – TERMIS. INTEX Osaka will be the site of 8^th Regenerative Medicine Expo in March 9-11, 2022. Earlier in March this year, the Japan Association for Infectious Diseases held their annual meeting also with similar avatar robots - who can video link online participants- who mingled with on-site delegates at networking events. Outside the meetings industry usage of avatar robots can extend to doctors visiting hospital wards or enabling sick children to be schooled. ** Latest News ------------------------------------------------------------ ** Double Travel Accolades for Japan ------------------------------------------------------------ The sixth annual National Geographic Traveller Reader Awards 2021 (https://www.nationalgeographic.co.uk/travel/reader-awards-2021) voted decisively even though the Covid-19 pandemic is far from over. Readers gave their thumbs-up for the very best in travel in 2021, be it from memories and experiences, or inspirational travel shows, or improvements in the travel ecosystem. In the finalists list with New Zealand and USA, Japan was declared Best Long-Haul Destination. The cleanliness award is evaluated based on customer assessment and perception of an airport's cleanliness standards, including seating, washrooms, F&B outlets, and terminal areas. In addition, Haneda is also the Best Airport in Asia; the World's Best Domestic Airport; and the Best Airport for Passengers with Restricted Mobility and Accessible Facilities.
