Regenerative medicine is an interdisciplinary research field that seeks to develop the science and the means to help repair or replace damaged or diseased human tissue to restore normal function. In 2018, Kyoto hosted the World Congress of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society – TERMIS. INTEX Osaka will be the site of 8^th Regenerative Medicine Expo in March 9-11, 2022. Earlier in March this year, the Japan Association for Infectious Diseases held their annual meeting also with similar avatar robots - who can video link online participants- who mingled with on-site delegates at networking events. Outside the meetings industry usage of avatar robots can extend to doctors visiting hospital wards or enabling sick children to be schooled. ** Latest News ------------------------------------------------------------ ** Double Travel Accolades for Japan ------------------------------------------------------------ The sixth annual National Geographic Traveller Reader Awards 2021 (https://www.nationalgeographic.co.uk/travel/reader-awards-2021) voted decisively even though the Covid-19 pandemic is far from over.
