Dear Colleague, Please find attached the Call for Papers for the 2022 Annual Conference of the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI). The conference will take place at the ZEW in Mannheim and online on 24 and 25 March 2022. The second day of the conference will be devoted to parallel sessions in which original research papers from all fields of competition law and economics can be presented. The parallel sessions will also include papers on business strategy related to competition, on the intersection between competition and innovation, and on regulated industries. Theoretical, empirical, as well as case-oriented papers are welcome. In particular, we invite legal scholars to submit papers focusing on EU competition and/or comparative competition law. In addition to contributed sessions, there will be two keynote lectures, a panel discussion, and several invited sessions. Full papers must be submitted. All proposals must include the following information: an abstract of up to 200 words, the author’s full name and affiliation as well as contact details. Submissions of full sessions are also encouraged. Any such proposal must include a short motivational letter as well as the papers to be presented at the session itself. Typically, a session comprises three papers. The approval of all suggested presenters is required. All proposals must be written in English and shall be submitted to the organising committee via MacciAnnual2022@zew.de<mailto:MacciAnnual2022@zew.de> as a PDF file no later than 30 November 2021. Authors of accepted papers will be notified no later than 31 December 2021. Presenters must register by 15 February 2022 and may be asked to discuss another paper.
