Recently, we received several inquiries on this subject. Here is my answer. The maximum thickness of the book depends on the paper used to print the content as well as the cover of the book. The best papers to bind are volumen papers, then go offsets and finally coated papers – the latter are the worst because they do not absorb the glue. Regarding the covers, the best choice for the thickest and the thinnest books is the 230g cardboard (uncoated inside). There are also technological limitations, namely the limits of the binding machine.
