About FRAME FRAME is a multi-partner research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Programme for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration. The project aims to develop a new generation of state of the art Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models, that, for the for the first time will allow for realistic estimates of the impact of public research and innovation activities on innovation, productivity growth and unemployment. FRAME will provide policymakers with a framework to study the impact of innovation policies and institutions on a broader range of variables. Final Policy Conference ------------------------------------------------------------ The FRAME Final Policy Conference (https://cepr.org/40031) aimed at understanding how monetary and fiscal policymaking and the development of innovation policy for the diffusion of technology are interdependent in the short, medium and long-term. The first day of the event focused on the new approaches to macro modelling for policy design and policy-making across countries and sectors to foster adoption of technology and growth in productivity. Тhe second day of the conference was dedicated to promoting innovation and diffusion of technology for maximising productivity and greener economies. Seventy-two participants attended the conference on the 18 - 19 February 2019 at Grocer’s Hall in London. The speakers included Klaus Adam (Deutsche Bundesbank, University of Oxford and CEPR), Philippe Aghion (London School of Economics), Francesco Bianchi (Duke University and CEPR), Diego Comin (Dartmouth College and CEPR), Antoine Dechezleprêtre (OECD), Dietmar Harhoff (Max Planck Institute), Ramon Marimon (European University Institute), Myra Mohnen (Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment and University of Essex), Antonella Trigari (Bocconi University and CEPR), Reinhilde Veugelers (KU Leuven and CEPR), Beatrice Weder di Mauro (CEPR), Román Arjona (DG Research, European Commission), Gianluca Benigno (Federal Reserve Bank of New York, London School of Economics and CEPR), Albert Bravo-Biosca (NESTA), Francesco Caselli (London School of Economics and CERP), Jonathan Haskel (Bank of England, Imperial College Business School and CEPR), Peter McAdam (European Central Bank), Huw Pill (Goldman Sachs), Stefan Profit (German Ministry of Economics and Energy), and Werner Roeger (DG Economic and Financial Affairs, European Commission). The event presented an opportunity for the researchers to meet and discuss the key results of the projects, as well as potential areas for future collaboration.
