Delve into the world of AI: INSME 19th Annual Meeting in Berlin

INSME’s 19th Annual Meeting will focus on: “Artificial Intelligence Opportunities and Transformation Challenges for SMEs”, exploring the intersection of SMEs and AI, and how the adoption of AI can advantage businesses and their long-term success.

Launch of new AccelerAction Website

AccelerAction, a project to raise the voice of start-ups and accelerators across Europe, has launched a new version of its website, becoming a centralized platform for all project materials on fostering a more connected deep-tech EU ecosystem.

The International Entrepreneurship Forum (IEF) conference is back with its 19th edition in Padua, Italy, from September 6th to 8th, 2023, after a three-year hiatus, exploring the theme of “Entrepreneurship: Analogue to Digital".

Anima Network and Invest Cyprus create EUROMED iHouse 

Invest Cyprus and ANIMA Investment Network have jointly announced the establishment of EUROMED iHouse, a service platform supporting the innovation and green transition of economic operators in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

International Trade Centre (ITC): World Export Development Forum 

The World Export Development Forum, the International Trade Centre’s annual flagship event, is the ideal platform to discuss the latest issues around trade and development and strategies to connect businesses to new markets. It supports inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous economies. 

Content of the month

The European Commission has released the 2023 version of the European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS), which focuses on innovation performance by country, along with the bi-yearly Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS), narrowing its focus to the hundreds of regions that make up the EU.

AL Invest – Second Call 
The AL-INVEST Verde programme opens a second call for innovative proposals for the financing of green economy projects for the benefit of Latin American SMEs. Applicants must be at least two per project, one from the EU and one from South America, AL-INVEST Green is a programme funded by the European Commission for promoting sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America. It aims to support the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy, to facilitate the implementation of sustainable production models. 
Deadline: 23 August 2023 
 

Innovation Fund Small Scale Projects 
This call for small-scale projects will further boost small scale EU projects in the areas of renewable energy, decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries, energy storage, and carbon capture, use and storage. These technologies should be sufficiently mature and have strong potential to achieve significant greenhouse gas emission reductions compared to conventional technologies.

European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA)
This call from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) is looking for a Specialist Advisory Services to build capacities on innovation.
Deadline: 21 September 2023

Sign up for the program and the European Regional Development Fund's Interregional Innovation Investment Instrument.

Supporting the clean energy transition of European businesses 
The call seeks to assist European businesses in complying with the New Green Deal in the hopes of establishing climate-neutrality in Europe by 2050. Proposals for this call are expected to focus on one of the two scopes outlined by the call. The first being, “Strengthening a favorable ecosystem for energy audits and energy management systems” and the second prioritizing, “Fostering energy cooperation among companies.” 
Deadline: 16 November 2023 

EUIPO SME Fund 2023

The SME Fund provides financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the European Union (EU) for the protection of their intellectual property (IP) rights. SMEs can apply for vouchers that will provide access to a partial refund of the IP fees paid.
If you are an EU SME and would like to receive financial support from the Fund for the registration of your trademarks, designs, patents and new plant varieties,  click here and follow the steps for registration.
