Hi Simona
Thanks for pointing out the error -- duly noted! Fully understandable that you are not available with such short notice this year. I hope to see you again in the not too distant future.
Kind regards

Dear DRUID organisers,
In the email below the specified period to receive papers is still March, for the conference in June in normal times.
I am afraid that – due to the unusual times’ pressure and also my recently started editorial job for the Journal of Economic Geography – I cannot really take anything on board at such short notice before the summer.
I will be available to review papers for the next DRUID conference.
Thank you for your understanding, my bestregards,
Simona

Dear Simona Iammarino,
As vaccines give us reason for some cautious optimism, DRUID has announced the DRUID21 Conference in Copenhagen, October 18-20, 2021. It is about time we have something to look forward to!
You can see the Call for Papers here:
https://conference.druid.dk/Druid/?confId=62
We are delighted to invite you to become part of the team of reviewers for the conference. We have added your name to the list of potential reviewers in view of your contributions to research within our field .
The unusual global health situation means that the timeline for the conference is different and the review process takes place already in June. However, as usual, you will find that it is not overly time consuming to act as a DRUID reviewer (for details, see
below). We sincerely hope that you will help DRUID to solidify the quality of research presented at our conferences while keeping it topical and relevant.

With warm thanks
Mark Lorenzen

P.S. In case we have several of your email addresses on file, you might get more than one invitation. Please disregard all but one.

BEING A DRUID REVIEWER
The DRUID review process itself is simple and easy in terms of effort and time required. NO WRITTEN REPORT OF ANY KIND IS REQUESTED, as no feedback is offered to the authors (this is clearly stated when authors submit a paper). Each reviewer will receive 5-10
papers electronically during March and must within a time line of four weeks indicate whether the paper should be considered for the program or not. A brief instruction will be provided with the papers.
The profile you enter during reviewer registration will determine the set of papers you will be assigned. Normally you will only receive papers to grade within a field where you declare yourself to be 'highly skilled', but now and then we also need to include
scholars with 'some skills' in a field as a third reviewer of a paper.
Reviewers with insufficient funds to participate in DRUID21 can apply for a limited amount of grants covering 25 % of the standard conference fee by sending the organizers an email before July 1, 2021 with "Reviewer Grant Application" in the subject field.
We are planning for about 250 participants but the inclusion of unsolicited submissions into the conference program is quite competitive with acceptance rates around 30 per cent.
During the last decade, we have attempted to improve the general quality and academic attractiveness of DRUID and we much hope that this year's event will represent even further improvements. The careful and considered responses from external reviewers are
at the core of such efforts and much appreciated by DRUID and our conference co-organizers.
Being a reviewer will add visibility to you and your institution. Your name and affiliation will be highlighted in the conference program and shown in the DRUID annual report together with the other esteemed reviewers who signed up for DRUID21.
