Dear Mark,
Many thanks for your reply. I am contacting you again, because I am still interested in participating in the DRUID conference. Based on your email two weeks ago,
I have checked the website again but I cannot see the program of the PDWs? On the website it is still saying “available shortly”. I hope I am looking for it in the correct location.
Also, I wanted to ask what you mean with “considered as a paper discussant…and/or session chair” if I register before September 15? I am fully aware that I am
behind the deadline, but I would be really interested what this means. Unfortunately, I am not super familiar with the different roles and jargon related to academic conferences (I have never been to a conference). If you could explain a little bit what this
means, this would be super helpful.
Kind regards,
Sebastian

Dear Sebastian
You are welcome to participate to the conference without a paper. Registration is open until conference start, and if you register before September 15, you will be considered as
a paper discussant and/or session chair for the conference parallel sessions.
Regarding PDWs, they are open for participation for all registered conference participants. PDW panels have already been finalized, but if you want to get more deeply involved in
one of the PDWs, please contact its chair persons directly. You can find their names on the conference website this week, when the final PDW program is announced.
Kind regards

Emne: [Druid] participation in PDW at DRUID21
Dear DRUID21 organizing team.
I would like to participate in the upcoming DRUID conference, but I did not submit a paper. For this reason, I would like to ask whether it would be possible to participate in a PDW?
If this is not possible, I can totally understand. I have heard that there is sometimes the option to still include someone in a PDW even after the deadline. That is the reason why I am asking about this.
Happy to hear your feedback.
Best regards,
Sebastian
