The latest First Look Research survey from Northstar Meetings Group suggests one in four event planners are not in control of the amount of time they spend on social media, while almost 20% say it is having a negative effect on their mental health. At the same time, the majority of those surveyed (76%) felt the results they got from their social media activity were, at best, ‘okay’.
Our survey takes an in-depth look at the amount of time event professionals spend online, and how much of that time is spent scrolling through their LinkedIn or Instagram feeds. We ask which platforms eventprofs use for work purposes and how they are using them to improve their events.
Amongst other things, we also asked how many event planners are using personal social media accounts for work purposes, whether this arrangement has been made contractual, how often they check these accounts, and how they measure ‘success’ when it comes to social media use.
