INSMEAcademy: “New challenges for high innovative companies: data protection, trade secrets and cyber-security”

2018 will be a challenging year for SMEs with high innovative potential that operate globally.

While European companies will have to adapt to the new General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, the EU Directive 2016/943 will require EU-Member States to harmonize national laws and implement internal regulations aimed at the protection of industrial secrets. This will imply for companies the need to create and implement protocols and internal procedures in order to strategically manage the data and protect them, as well as enhance them from an economic point of view.

In view of these important changes, the January session of the INSMEAcademy will focus on how companies can:

- implement their organizational model and identify managerial figures in charge with the data management and trade secret protection
- study and adopt contractual models of non-disclosure in connection to business relationships with third parties and
- last but not least adapt their technological data protection infrastructures.
