INSME has just released an online survey on intellectual property for the new IP4SME project, aimed at providing understanding of the challenges and opportunities for SMEs, suggesting strategies for building a competitive advantage based on intellectual assets.
 

EECOLE Roundtable on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems

INSME participated during the EECOLE roundtable on December 1st: a dynamic hub where HEIs, policymakers, business leaders, and more converge to identify good practices that facilitate the mainstreaming of entrepreneurship education.

INSME President Sergio Arzeni participated together with key INSME members Unioncamere and Promos in the Italian-Libyan forum titled “Crescere Insieme” (Grow Together) organised by the Italian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce.

IP Training in Islamabad with COMSATS

COMSATS held workshops on IP training in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Organization (IPO). The event gave entrepreneurs, engineers, government offi­cials, insights into successfully managing intellectual property rights and bilateral agreements.

SRM Lands in Albania!

The Study Centre SRM, an INSME member, has officially landed in Albania, with a key research paper, available for free online, on the perks and opportunities this country provides in the field of tourism. As an element of comparison, SRM has reported the case of selected Italian regions.

Europe Leads the Way in Regulation for AI

In a monumental stride toward governing the responsible use of AI, negotiators from the Council presidency and the European Parliament achieved a pivotal provisional agreement on the 'Artificial Intelligence Act' on December 8th.

EUIPO SME Fund

After a successful implementation of the 2023 SME Fund, the  new edition of the SME Fund  will open for new applications for all four vouchers on 22 January 2024. EUIPO will hold an informative webinar on 6 February 2024. Stay tuned.

Resilient Value Chains 2024 

Achieving European Green Deal objectives, and notably a climate neutral and resource efficient economy, requires the full mobilisation of SMEs. The COVID-19 pandemic has also led to companies redesigning their supply chains and facing a new industrial revolution, brought on by a new generation of advanced technologies, which are underpinning the potential for competitive sustainability of SMEs. The action will build on and further connect existing EU specialised business support networks and centres – such as the Enterprise Europe Network, the European industry clusters registered under the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, Centres for Advanced Technologies for Industry.

Horizon Europe: New European Bauhaus – Innovative solutions for greener and fairer ways of life 

The New European Bauhaus, as closely connected to cultural heritage and culture, brings a cultural and creative dimension to the European Green Deal. Proposals should test, demonstrate and refine innovative solutions to achieve strategic investments in cultural heritage and the CCIs in the spirit of the New European Bauhaus initiative and search for links with the ESFRI Research Infrastructures in the Social and Cultural Innovation.

MSCA Staff Exchanges 2023 

MSCA Staff Exchanges involve organizations from the academic and non-academic sectors (including SMEs) from across the globe. Support is provided for international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of R&I staff leading to knowledge transfer between participating organizations.

EUIPO Design Awards
Elevating design to new heights, the EUIPO is delighted to announce the DesignEuropa Awards 2024! This edition marks the transition of the DesignEuropa Awards to an annual celebration.  This exciting move offers a further increased platform for and more frequent recognition of exceptional design and design management among holders of Registered Community Designs (RCDs).
