Dear Mayank
It was regrettable that you were prevented from participating.
Unfortunately, according to our Terms and Conditions (stated, for instance, under TERMS AND CONDITIONS on the conference homepage, and in the decision email you recieved on April 19), we are not able to give refunds for cancellations recieved after June 1. This is because we are unable to recoup our expenses towards catering, conference materials and services for participants who cancel this late. As a non-profit academic organisation, we have very limited financial leeway.
Since your problems are caused by a completely unreasonable visa policy by the Danish embassy, I want to offer you a 50% refund of the conference fee, corresponding to the refund you would get if you had cancelled before June 1. Please notice that this is a unique exception, meaning that DRUID will bear some of the cost of your cancellation!
With kind regards

Emne: Request for Refund for Conference Registration FeeDear Mark,
I got to know that the DRUID22 conference was a great success, Kudos and congratulations to you and your team!
As you are aware that I had registered for the DRUID22 (I am attaching the receipt for your convenience) but I was not granted the conference-travel-visa by the Danish embassy in New Delhi, and I could not attend the conference.
My Paper ID is 69171, and the Paper title is "Gone but not Forgotten: How Inventor Exit helps in Technology Acquisitions."
In this regard, I would humbly request a refund of the conference registration fee.
Once again, thank you for organising the conference, and apologies for the inconvenience caused!
Looking forward to it!
Warm regards,
Mayank Varshney
