Welcome to NEW IDEAS START HERE Issue 1/2021

Dear Colleagues,

Our e-news resumes with a new look and new content, with an emphasis on relevant information for conferences and business events. Anchoring our news will be bite-sized stories about Japan’s innovation and creativity as the foundation of new ideas. Fronting our first two issues are new ideas at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

While the world continues to face the challenges of covid-19, travellers can get the latest information on the covid-19 situation in Japan. Although the global meetings industry has paused momentarily, our mission to welcome international business events when borders reopen is ongoing. For the next 18 months from 1 August this year, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) will be the Destination Partner of IAPCO, the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers.

Later this month, from September 30th to October 1st, our London office will be participating in The Meetings Show UK as a virtual exhibitor. Please book a call with us to say hello and get answers to all your questions about planning your next event in Japan. Additionally, you will find The Meetings Show’s educational sessions are designed to support the industry as it gets back on its feet and help event professionals like yourselves re-imagine events in the ‘new normal’.

Yours sincerely,
