Queen Sirikit National Convention Center to reopen in 2022 with 5 times more space

The new Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) is scheduled to be reopen in 2022 after an extensive renovation with 5 times larger space. With this $500 million investment, the centre aims to be “The Ultimate Inspiring World Class Event Platform for All.”

With 5 times larger space and a daily capacity of over 100,000 visitors, the refurbishment reaffirms QSNCC’s position as Thailand’s largest convention center in Bangkok’s Central Business District (CBD). The new QSNCC will provide a total event space of 78,500 sq.m, two main exhibition halls with over 45,000 sq.m, two large conference halls with nearly 10,000 sq.m, 50 flexible meeting rooms and additional retail zone, plus fully equipped technologies. Its accessibility to the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) and the 2,700 indoor parking spaces make the QSNCC the most convenient center in CBD.

Royal Phuket Marina Pioneers Sustainability

A pioneer in sustainability in Phuket, 5 Gold Anchor award-winning Royal Phuket Marina was the first marina in Thailand to switch to renewable energy, using the latest solar technology. The marina’s solar panel system utilizes the roof space atop its fully covered 4-storey boat dry stack system, and with the initial deployment, 60 percent of the power consumed in the marina’s operations was generated by the solar panels. Moving closer to marina Chairman Gulu Lalvani’s vision of fully sustainable operations, additional panels have been recently installed, nearly quadrupling current capacity from 34kWp to over 130kWp.

This latest expansion of the solar panel system shows the marina’s firm commitment to sustainable practices and minimizing the environmental impact of its operations.
