ZEW Mannheim is pleased to announce its
10th anniversary Conference on the Economics of Innovation and Patenting which will take place in Mannheim on September 26 and 27, 2024.
The conference aims to present novel theoretical and empirical research from all areas of the economics of innovation and patenting and to stimulate discussion among international researchers.
It is a great pleasure for us to welcome as keynote speakers Petra MOSER (NYU Stern, NBER and CEPR), and Carlos J. SERRANO (HEC Paris).
During the conference, the Heinz König Award for the best scientific paper by a junior researcher will be honored. The prize is sponsored by the ZEW Sponsors’ Association and is endowed with 5,000 euros and a research stay at ZEW. The prize is aimed at all young economists under the age of 35 whose research paper makes an outstanding contribution to innovation and patent research.
Papers by young researchers with co-authors are also eligible.

The deadline for submission of extended abstracts or full papers is July 26, 2024. Please send your submission to innopat2024@zew.de and state whether you would like us to consider your paper for the Heinz König Award.
