Dear DRUID21 organizers, I hope my email finds you well.
I am contacting you regarding my participation in DRUID21.
Unfortunately, I have to cancel my registration this year, as I will not be able to travel to Copenhagen. I lost my residence permit card earlier this month, on Oct 1 (attached the report from the police), and since then, I have not been able to find an alternative solution: this seems to be a quite long process in the Netherlands.
Though I am aware of the general refund policy, I would like to kindly ask you for the possibility of (partially) refunding the conference fee, given that this happened on Oct 1 and it was not clear to me until now, whether I would be able to attend the conference. I would, of course, understand it, if you cannot provide a refund.
I would like to apologize for the inconveniences caused by this unexpected issue, and I hope you will be able to find a replacement for my sessions, Oct 19 (presentation session, paper 6139) and 20 (discussant session: "Industrial dynamics: Innovation performance").
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards, Araksya Ayvazyan
