Why the cost of a laser marking machine ranges with huge difference from different suppliers?

A professional buyer says below:

In the laser business,there are no secrets about white components cost ,everyone knows the cost of all the components,so what left is service and knowledge and quality and this is where most companies fail.

Because they compete so drastically on components that there is nothing left to offer quality and service,they make no profit.
