You may have seen in our previous emails that we are now running two Leadership or Governance Seminars a month and continue our Leadership Specialist meetings with one per month but for leaders from all types of associations to attend. 

This week we have two seminars that I do hope you can join us for, and these seminars are as follows:

Developing association strategies and effective advocacy campaigns

Wed 19 Oct | 11:00 - 12:30 BST | Online

In this interactive online seminar, two association executives will talk us through concrete case studies that address these questions. Sylvie Fodor from CEPIC will talk about her association’s legal campaign against Google, and how this allowed her association to develop a cooperative relationship with the tech multinational. Roberta Mugnai Executive Director European Calcified Tissue Society will talk about how associations with limited resources can develop strategic plans. Finally, David Reed from Public Affairs Consultancy KREAB will talk about How to create effective advocacy strategies.

Promoting diversity and making associations relevant to more diverse audiences

Thurs 20 Oct | 11:00 - 12:30 BST | Online

The session kicks off with a talk from Alain Mulder from the Institute of Management Accountants. He’ll speak about how his association launched an ambitious research project on driving Diversity and Inclusion in the Finance Profession. Following this, Sofia Iqbal from the Stockholm International Water Institute looks at how associations themselves can become more diverse by engaging with younger audiences.  Finally, Bernadette Rogers, General Manager, of the European Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Association continues the theme, by speaking about how her association has analysed what younger people are looking for from a membership body.
