Hi Jeanette

I hope you’re well.

It’s only 3 weeks until the inaugural AMI Summit and I wanted to share the agenda so you can see the focused sessions and key topics we’ll be guiding you through during the afternoon. These have been carefully selected to tackle the most relevant issues for the association meetings industry.

13:00 Opening remarks: Host and Moderator, James Lancaster, Editorial Director, AMI

13:10 Opening keynote: Innovation needs focus, focus kills innovation

13:50 Session one: SUSTAINABILITY “Beyond planting trees. How can associations make a real difference?”

Aviation is by far the biggest contributor of greenhouse gas emissions associated with staging international meetings. What can associations do about it? From offsetting to going digital, reducing event frequency to going ‘regional’, this session will explore all the options. And we’ll ask: how does your organisation’s budget affect the decisions you make?

14:50 Networking break

15:20 Session two: INCLUSION “Access all areas?”

You’ve cracked diversity and made sure everyone who wants to attend can attend (the equity bit). But how do you ensure that all your delegates feel included in the conversation? What do associations need to do to make attendees feel truly welcome and heard at meetings and events?

16:20 Refreshment break

16:40 Session three: Open Discussion

Attendees decide: During this session, attendees will decide and discuss their imminent pain points. This lively and educative debate will wrap up the content for the pre-show conference.

17:30 Closing remarks

19:00 Transfers to evening event (optional)
