Dear DRUID conference organizers,

I am registered the 2023 DRUID conference in Portgual.  Unfortunately due to a family medical emergency, I am not going to be able to attend and would like to unregister for the conference.

I have a teenage daughter that has neurological issues. She has been okay the last few months and I thought I would be okay to travel this June, but last week she had two severe neurological events and because of this I am unable to travel until we understand what has happened and she is stable again.

I apologize about this as I was really looking forward to the conference.  I had two papers accepted to the conference, so could you please take them off the program:

Here is the info on the papers:

Paper 70263.  Title: Global Health Interlopers: Why Do Small Companies Pursue SBIR Funding for Non-Market Technology Development

Paper 70341.  Title: Creating Fluency in Highly Collaborative Inter-organizational Relations Across Institutional Logics: University-Industry Partnerships for Drug Development

The second paper on university-industry partnerships is co-authored with Marcela Miozzo, but she also cannot attend, so please take both papers off the program.

If possible, could I be refunded as much of the registration fee and dinner fee as allowed?  If you need additional information for this I’d be happy to provide the credit card information that I used to register.

Again, I apologize for this inconvenience and I’m hopping to be able to attend in the future.  If you could send a quick acknowledgement email I’d really appreciate it.

Best regards,

Steve
