We are especially in need of responses from personnel > who manage and evaluate research programs.< The International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) has launched a Survey on the Evolution of Scientific Publishing. IUMRS is composed of individual professional societies that span the globe. The Survey is seeking responses from a broad spectrum of RESEARCHERS in many fields of science as well as from professionals associated with the many aspects of scientific publishing such as EDITORS, PUBLISHERS, EDUCATORS, LIBRARIANS, ARCHIVISTS, SPONSORS OF RESEARCH, EXPERTS IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, AND MANAGERS OF RESEARCH AT CORPORATE AND GOVERNMENT LABORATORIES. We ask that you forward this Survey participation request to staff and colleagues who work in those fields within your organization and beyond. The Survey is anonymous and should take no more than 5 to 15 minutes to complete, depending on the respondent’s relationship to scientific publishing. A hyperlink to the Survey is as follows: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/IUMRS_Survey With your help, this Survey will provide a much needed perspective on the state of scientific publishing today and on what we might expect for the future. The results of the survey will be summarized and published once a statistically significant response has been received. These days, we all are asked repeatedly to respond to customer satisfaction surveys of one type or another. The event introduced participants to new methods and tools to assess the impact of public research on innovation, productivity growth, and unemployment. The main focus was the new generation of Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models, developed within the framework of the project. The event was structured along three streams of research: endogenous technological adoption and innovation policies, structural change and polarisation on the labour market, and new methods for TFP estimation.
